While being so blunt about it is going to recieve expected pushback, the reality is becoming ever more so -- SWE will be automated down to the finest grain. "Coding" was mercy killed upon the altar of progress and programming sacrificed to the promise of eliminating the ultimate tech debt -- other people. A capable designer with the right tooling can orchestrate projects governments and corporations of recent memory could only dream of.
