Template:WIP Template:Zone The Outlands is a rugged Zone which is home to the minor Faction Black Dog. It is the location of a Tech Hunters controlled Major Town: Black Scratch. Black Scratch is notable for having The Great Library and the Anti-Slaver Unique Recruit Bo.

Players should be mindful of the Encumbrance percentage of their characters in this area. Being weighed down only makes it harder to run from the very common Reavers patrols. If characters are KO'd by the Reavers, there is a high chance that they will be enslaved and their items will be stolen from them. It would also be helpful to bring a splint kit to outrun attacks from them should a character have their legs injured.

Inhabitants

There are no Ancient Locations in The Outlands. This zone does not spawn Nests or Camps.

Homeless Spawns

These are squads which spawn without being tied to a location, camp, or nest. This list is in order of likelihood.

These squads can potentially spawn in this zone if certain World States have been reached.

• Samurai Rogue - upon deaths of Emperor Tengu, Lady Sanda, Lord Inaba, Lord Nagata, and Lord Yoshinaga.
• Slaver Caravan Boss - If Tinfist is dead and Longen is alive.

This zone has the 'Boneyard dry times' season. Seasons may cause harmful Weather Effects or be purely aesthetic.
