Small House is Core Tech which unlocks the ability for players to construct a Storm House. This research is required to research and unlock Tech Level 2.
Storm Houses are required for Tech Level 2 because they are large enough to fit a Research Bench II inside of them. They have a roof which is accessible to the player, allowing for four times the building space compared to the Small Shack.
