Crossbow smithing is the ability to craft higher quality Crossbows and Bolts, in a shorter space of time. It affects the speed of crafting bolts and crossbows and it determines the quality of the produced crossbows. The skill can only be trained by crafting them. The skill also involves crafting the parts for to-be assembled crossbows, such as Spring Steel, Crossbow Parts and Hinges, but the last item can also be crafted at a Robotics Bench.Template:Racial Exp MultSince bolts are always of the same quality, it is advised to let a character craft bolts or crossbow parts until standard or high quality crossbows can be crafted at level 40 or 60 respectively, due to the high price of steel bars, which makes crafting crossbows a money sink until levels 40 or 60 are reached at least.

The bolts and parts can be crafted at the Arrow Making Bench and crossbows are crafted at the Crossbow Crafting Bench. The technology for making bolts and crossbows is available at Research level 2 and 3 respectively.
