The Grey Desert is a relatively insignificant zone which borders a handful of the most polluted areas in the game. The single Tech Hunter Waystation, when coming from the east, is the only place for resupply before heading to Black Desert City in the Deadlands.
There are occasionally squads of Weak Thralls that could be found in this area, likely migrated from the neighbouring Venge. Alongside Grayflayer smugglers that may have travelled here from the nearby Smugglers Bar.
Inhabitants
There are no Major Towns or Ancient Locations in the Grey Desert. This zone does not spawn Nests or Camps.

These locations are typically small towns, villages, or faction bases.

These are squads which spawn without being tied to a location, camp, or nest. This list is in order of likelihood.

- Grayflayers (smuggler patrols)

- Rebel Farmers - If Emperor Tengu is alive.
- Black Desert Ninjas
- Slave Traders - If Longen is alive and for some of them, if Slave Master Grande is alive. None if both of them are imprisoned/dead.
- Iron Spider

- Thrall Masters - If Ponk and Screamer are alive.
These squads can potentially spawn in this zone if certain World States have been reached
- Yabuta Outlaws - if Yabuta is freed from Tengu's Vault and alive.
